Congratulations to the members that completed the BJA Junior Referee Level 1 course hosted by Tonbridge Judo Club on the 8th December 2007. What is especially pleasing to hear is that all 7 members passed with some of the highest collective scores seen in the area for the written exam.

This qualification allows them to go onto referee at BJA events up to 6th Mon and gradings up to 9th Mon. All players conducted themselves excellently through out the day and can definitely say that they will now look at things in a different perspective having been in the centre of the mat in a non fighting capacity.

Unfortunately Samantha Martin was not able to be present at the end of the day due to an unforeseen trip to Kent & Sussex A&E department - hope you are back on the mat soon.
